I’m quite sure this is how Jasper sees himself… and that is why I will soon be the proud owner of this bitchin shirt from yesterday’s shirt.woot.com. Hedgehogs are awesome critters.

Drunken History: Tesla and Edison. Hilarious.

Oh it’s so true. Californians are just about as blase as people can get about earthquakes.
If you somehow managed to miss the news, we caught part of an earthquake here today. It was quite big, but here in the OC it was a rolling quake, they don’t tend to do that much damage, since the motion is smooth they’re quite gentle as far as earthquakes go…
Unless of course they’re very, very big. Our ground here is a layer of dirt over a base of mostly sand, and a big rolling quake will cause that sand to act like a liquid, and that, my friends, causes buildings to literally sink into the ground. Awesome! …or not.
…shamelessly stolen from @flatlinejack.

January 25, 1979: A 25-year-old Ford Motor assembly line worker is killed on the job in a Flint, Michigan, casting plant. It’s the first recorded human death by robot.
Robert Williams’ death came on the 58th anniversary of the premiere of Karel Capek’s play about Rossum’s Universal Robots, which gave the world the first use of the word robot. It was an invented term, based it on the Czech word for “forced labor.”
So, what do you think, January 25 become known as Robot Independence Day?

Banksy has filmed “the world’s first street art disaster movie” which will be debuting at this year’s Sundance. I’m rather excited to see it, actually. He’s a bit of a nut, but nonetheless I’m quite fond of Banksy. King Robbo, on the other hand, isn’t, and has defaced one of Banksy’s works, essentially declaring war. Wonder how that will play out…
