Our poor little bugbear wasn’t feeling well, she’d been going back and forth between feeling alright and being miserable for about a month now, so we took her to the vet last night…
Turns out she had a uterine infection, and so the vet called the surgeon, who rearranged his schedule, and she went in this morning to be spayed. I’m amazed, she’s a bit sore, but already she’s so much better. She’s bright eyed, her color’s back, she’s got a healthy appetite for the first time in a while, and her nose is cool and wet again. She’s like a whole different dog!
She’ll be recuperating for about ten days, and then her stitches come out. Of course, she’s already figured out how to work this to her advantage. All she has to do is whimper, and mommy skritches her behind the ears, or cuddles her, or feeds her snacks. I know, I know, it’s pathetic.
Right now she’s in her sling, laying on her back like a little baby. I think she’s asleep…
Hunter’s soooo jealous, poor bunny. He’s been so demanding and is acting like such a petulant little thing, but he’s intent on showing me he doesn’t care and he loves daddy best… Won’t come when I call him, but then every now and again creeps in for a cuddle. I suspect he’ll forgive me, eventually. ;)
